چکیده
A bstract We present a general method for deriving the energy shift of an interacting system N spinless particles in finite volume. To this end, we use nonrelativistic effective field theory (NREFT), and match pertinent low-energy constants to scattering amplitudes. Relativistic corrections are explicitly included up given order 1/ L expansion. apply obtain ground state particles, first excited two three ? 6 terms threshold parameters two- three-particle relativistic these expressions analyze -particle complex ? 4 theory.

On a Hybrid Finite-volume-particle Method
We present a hybrid finite-volume-particle numerical method for computing the transport of a passive pollutant by a flow. The flow is modeled by the oneand two-dimensional Saint-Venant system of shallow water equations and the pollutant propagation is described by a transport equation. This paper is an extension of our previous work [Chertock, Kurganov and Petrova, J. Sci. Comput. (to appear)],...
متن کاملParticle Energy And Acceleration Efficiencies In Highly Relativistic Shocks
In this paper we present an investigation of numerical Monte Carlo simulations of the diffusive shock acceleration in the test particle limit. Very high gamma flow astrophysical plasmas, have been used, from γ up ∼ 50 up to γ up ∼ 1000 ,which could be relevant to the suggested models of AGNs Jets and their Central Engines as well as the ultra-relativistic shock particle acceleration in Gamma Ra...

متن کاملMaximum Particle Energy by Fermi Acceleration in Relativistic Flows
An expression for maximum accelerated particle energy Emax due to the firstorder shock-Fermi process is generalized to relativistic flows. Given the Bohm diffusion approximation and a mean ISM magnetic field of 3μG, then Emax ≈ 8 × 10β0Z(m⊙/n0) 1/3 eV for an uncollimated explosion expanding into a uniform medium with density n0. The initial flow speed of the explosion is β0c, and the total ejec...
متن کاملMultiscale Flow Simulation by Adaptive Finite Volume Particle Methods
We report on recent developments concerning adaptive finite particle methods, which are used for the numerical simulation of multiscale phenomena in time-dependent evolution processes. The proposed concept relies on a finite volume approach, which we combine with WENO reconstruction from particle average values. In this method, polyharmonic splines are key tools for both the optimal recovery fr...
